About Sandy
Sandy grew up south of Boston and drove trains and built houses before scratching her writing itch with a journalism degree at UMass, Amherst. The call of the Southwest took her to Albuquerque for a law degree, and she made a career of prosecuting greedy corporate bad guys.
Sandy spins her lesbian life into fiction and poetry. She reads voraciously, aided and abetted by being sleep-challenged. Bird watching and a spiffy camera turned her into a shutterbug, and feathered friends tend to flutter fairly frequently into her stories. Her lesbian basketball team is a shining light in her life. Though the brightest star is her wife, a dance teacher who Sandy met taking her salsa class. Assistant dance teacher was definitely not in her career plan, but theirs was a first date that, like in fiction, changed everything.
Her debut novel, She’s On to Something, weaves legal suspense with a slow-burning lesbian romance, following a queer SEC prosecutor who uncovers a church-based investment scam and risks her heart to expose the truth.
